Sadie Sink recently opened up about what it was really like working with Taylor Swift—and to no one’s surprise, she had nothing but good things to say about the “Cruel Summer” songstress.

In fact, it seems that the Stranger Things star is a firm believer that Swift truly is a “Mastermind” when it comes to her craft.

Sink, 22, recently sat down for an interview where she reflected on her collaboration with Swift, 34, for the 2021 project All Too Well: The Short Film.

“I grew up on her music and was such a fan,” Sink gushed about the “Fortnight” songstress. “She’s been such a huge part of my life. If a song of hers reminded me of a character, I would use it to get into a role.”

“She had always been a little voice in my head,” the actress further admitted, which is why she said it was “so surreal” when Swift reached out to her to star in the short film. Swift has said that she wouldn’t have made the film if Sink turned it down.

“Looking back, I think she has some kind of Spidey sense where she’s just able to recognize someone who understands the assignment, because I knew that song so well and I knew the history behind it,” The Whale actress explained. “It was amazing that she recognized that in me somehow, that I would understand the song, the message, the story she was trying to tell.”

“How she was able to see that without even meeting me beforehand, and just offering it to me right off the bat… Well, she’s got good intuition,” Sink added.

The 15-minute short-form film, directed by Swift herself, was inspired by—and set to the tune of—the songwriter’s deep cut breakup track “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” Sink starred in the film alongside actor Dylan O’Brien, and together, their performance helped Swift secure the award for Best Music Video at the 2023 Grammys.
