Sammy Hagar in Saratoga, NY: Essential Tips Before You Go

Sammy Hagar, the former Van Halen frontman, enjoyed a day off at the Saratoga Race Course on Sunday, where he performed the “riders up” command and placed a few bets. This was all a part of his break from the “Best of Both Worlds Tour”. However, he’s back to work in the Capital Region tonight.

If you are planning to attend the Sammy Hagar concert tonight at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), located at 108 Avenue of the Pines in Saratoga Springs, New York, here’s what you need to know.

Hagar, along with his bandmates Michael Anthony (also from Van Halen), Jason Bonham, and Joe Satriani, will be performing on the Broadview Stage at SPAC this Monday, July 22nd. A special guest, Loverboy, will also perform. Tickets for this show are available.

Based on the recent shows on this tour, Hagar’s setlist will heavily feature Van Halen material, with about 15 out of the 21 songs coming from the Van Halen catalog. Fans can also expect some of Sammy’s solo hits and possibly a Led Zeppelin cover.

Here’s the tentative timeline and some important venue rules you should be aware of before arriving at SPAC:

  • 4pm – Parking Lots Open
  • 5:30pm – Gates to SPAC open
  • 7pm – Loverboy
  • SPAC is a cashless venue for Live Nation shows
  • Bringing alcohol is not permitted
  • No coolers allowed
  • No backpacks permitted
  • Food is allowed, but only in a 1-gallon zip-lock bag
  • Water is allowed – up to 1 gallon in a factory sealed bottle
