‘San Fuerte’ Comedy in Development at Amazon by Shepard Boucher & Kapital

EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios is developing a new single-camera comedy titled San Fuerte, written and executive produced by Shepard Boucher.

In the show, Ben Schreiber, an American journalist, travels to the Latin American island nation of San Fuerte to interview its enigmatic dictator, Emilio San Juan. The plot takes an unexpected turn when Ben discovers that Emilio is his father, who has no intention of letting him leave the island.

Boucher is set to executive produce the series alongside Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment.

Boucher has an extensive background in television, having served as a co-executive producer on popular series including Prime Video’s Upload and My Lady Jane, Max’s Made For Love, Netflix’s Space Force, and the upcoming medical procedural Pulse. His other writing-producing credits include the CW’s Riverdale and TBS’ Angie Tribeca.

Boucher is represented by CAA, Kaplan/Perrone, and Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka.
