Sandy Cheeks Movie Trailer Teases Spongebob’s Texas Adventure

Netflix has finally released the official trailer for “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie,” the latest spin-off from the beloved “SpongeBob SquarePants” series. Fans can look forward to streaming it starting August 2, 2024.

The movie’s official synopsis reveals: “When Bikini Bottom and all its denizens are suddenly scooped out of the ocean, Sandy Cheeks and SpongeBob SquarePants journey to Texas to save the town from a villainous plot.”

In the trailer, viewers get a glimpse of SpongeBob and Sandy embarking on an adventurous journey to Texas. Sandy returns to her hometown with SpongeBob to rescue Bikini Bottom from a Marine Biology Lab called B.O.O.T.S., which has stolen the underwater city and its citizens. During this mission, Sandy reunites with her Texas family, who showcase their athletic prowess.

“Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie” is helmed by director Liza Johnson. The teleplay is written by Kaz and Tom Stern, based on a story by Kaz. The film features longtime “SpongeBob SquarePants” voice actors Carolyn Lawrence, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Bill Fagerbakker, Rodger Bumpass, and Mr. Lawrence reprising their roles as Sandy Cheeks, SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Patrick, Squidward, and Plankton, respectively.

In addition to the main cast, the film will include performances by Wanda Sykes, Johnny Knoxville, Craig Robinson, Grey Delisle, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, and Matty Cardarople. Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller serve as the executive producers.
