Scarlett Johansson took inspiration from 1960s fashion on Monday at the premiere of her latest film, “Fly Me to the Moon.” This period romantic comedy, co-starring Channing Tatum, highlights the era’s Space Race and the historic Apollo 11 moon landing.
On the red carpet, Johansson donned a pink gingham set from Prada. Her ensemble featured a cropped top with beaded trim and a high neckline, paired with a pencil maxiskirt. She attended the event with her husband, “Saturday Night Live” cast member Colin Jost, and accessorized with diamond-encrusted ball drop earrings.
Stylist Kate Young, known for dressing other celebrities like Dakota Johnson and Sophie Turner, prepared Johansson’s look for the evening.
David von Cannon styled Johansson’s dirty blond hair into a chic chignon. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo complemented the look with a pink lip and rosy blush.
Just last week, Johansson embraced one of this season’s biggest trends—vests—during her appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” She chose a double-breasted khaki vest by Gabriela Hearst, paired with matching pleated wool trousers.
“Fly Me to the Moon” is set to premiere in theaters on Friday and will eventually be available to stream on Apple TV+. Directed by Greg Berlanti, known for “Love, Simon” and TV shows like “You” and “Dawson’s Creek,” the film promises a nostalgic journey through the 1960s space era.
