Scheana Shay Discusses Tense Exchange with Candace Cameron Bure

Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay recently opened up about an unpleasant interaction she had with former child star Candace Cameron Bure. Scheana was eagerly looking forward to meeting Bure, but the encounter did not go as she had hoped.

While working at SUR, owned by Lisa Vanderpump, employees often had opportunities to meet various celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Chrissy Teigen, and Lady Gaga. Although Scheana has not worn the SUR uniform since Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, she remains an integral part of the show and enjoys sharing her experiences. One such experience involved Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role on Full House.

Scheana discussed the incident on her podcast, Scheananigans, explaining that she had always been a fan of Full House, so meeting Candace was a big deal for her. However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment.

“The first time I met Candace Cameron, she wasn’t very nice,” Scheana began. According to her, the encounter occurred during an event hosted by Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter, Pandora, around Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules in 2013.

“I was really excited to meet her,” Scheana recalled, “but she was so dismissive, as if I wasn’t cool enough or big enough to be hanging out with her.”

This behavior was not just noticed by Scheana. Fans and followers responded to the podcast episode, sharing similar experiences they had with Bure. One person noted how they felt bad after meeting Bure due to her cold demeanor. Another fan lamented, “I’ve heard so many people have the same experience with her…it’s so disappointing because Full House is one of my absolute favorite shows.”

Scheana admitted that the encounter left a lasting impact on her. “I remember I was so excited to meet her, and she was like, ‘Ugh.’ I didn’t want to watch Fuller House because of that one experience. I’ve met so many celebrities in my life and hardly any have stood out to me as rude — but she stood out as one.”

Despite this disappointing experience, Scheana mentioned that other celebrities, like Kim Kardashian, have been very humble and kind. This contrast makes encounters with rude celebrities even more notable.

The revelations about Bure’s attitude have come as a surprise to some fans, especially given her wholesome image from Full House. However, Scheana’s story and the responses from fans suggest that this behavior might not be an isolated incident.
