SDCC 2024 Panel: Anime First Look Announced

Rick and Morty: The Anime is gearing up for a much-anticipated premiere later this year. Adult Swim has exciting plans to showcase this new series at San Diego Comic-Con 2024! While fans wait for Rick and Morty Season 8, the anime spin-off is set to provide fresh additions to the beloved franchise. Bringing a new narrative that diverges from the original animated series, the anime spin-off raises plenty of questions about this significant transformation for the popular Adult Swim show.

Throughout the year, Adult Swim has been steadily sharing clips and minor promotional materials. However, during San Diego Comic-Con, fans will get the best look yet at this new series. Adult Swim has outlined their panel arrangements for the event, revealing the upcoming “Adult Swim’s ‘Rick And Morty: The Anime’ Series First Look” panel scheduled for Friday, July 26th at 12 PM local time. Attendees at the convention will be treated to new details, insights from writer/director Takeshi Sano, producers Joseph Chou and Takenari Maeda, along with Adult Swim’s head of action and anime Jason DeMarco.

Adult Swim teases the upcoming panel, inviting fans to dive deeper into the multiverse of Rick and Morty with the new anime. The event will provide an opportunity to explore the intergalactic adventures and inner workings of the new series. Rick and Morty: The Anime stands as a testament to the rich and expansive universe that continues to captivate its audience.

But that’s not all for Rick and Morty: The Anime this year. Adult Swim will also livestream a special screening of the first episode alongside other exclusive premieres later that Friday evening, July 26th, on their official YouTube channel. This exciting premiere event will mark the beginning of the “Anime-rican” tour, featuring the Rickmobile and Mortymobile. The tour will visit nine cities across the country, culminating in Adult Swim’s home base in Atlanta, GA.

Though Rick and Morty: The Anime is set for release this year, an official release date has yet to be confirmed. The anime has been described as follows: “In Rick and Morty: The Anime, a new series from the world of ‘Rick and Morty,’ Rick relaxes in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer helps Space Beth fight the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falls in love with a mysterious girl who happens to be an atemporal being.”

As anticipation builds for this fresh take on the Rick and Morty universe, fans can look forward to discovering new story arcs, intriguing new characters, and the unique blend of humor and sci-fi adventure that has become synonymous with the franchise. San Diego Comic-Con 2024 promises to be a significant event for fans eager to see what Rick and Morty: The Anime has in store.
