Sean Hannity Calls Stephen Colbert ‘Funny for Once’ After CNN Joke

Fox News host Sean Hannity credited The Late Show host Stephen Colbert as being “funny for once” after the comedian made a joke about CNN being “objective,” which drew laughter from his New York City audience.

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins appeared on a late-night comedy show on Monday. She discussed discovering President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 race, the media’s interactions with former President Donald Trump, and the impact Vice President Kamala Harris has had on the 2024 election.

On Tuesday’s show, Hannity rolled back the clip in which audience members erupted in laughter as Colbert said to Collins, “I know you guys are objective over there, that you just report the news as it is.”

Collins replied: “Is that supposed to be a laugh line?”

“It wasn’t so supposed to be,” Colbert smiled. “But I guess it is.”

Commenting on the video, Hannity mused: “Colbert made a joke that was actually funny for once except he was trying to be serious. I’m serious. Yeah, that would be a laugh line. Not even liberals in that audience believe that fake news CNN is objective.”
