Season 2 Exclusive Content for Daryl Dixon on AMC+

AMC rolled out the fifth spinoff of The Walking Dead in 2023. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is a series that focuses on the titular character portrayed by Norman Reedus since season 1 of the flagship. The series, one of three direct spinoffs, significantly expands TWDU by continuing Daryl’s story in France, showing viewers how another part of the world faired after the outbreak.

The first six-part season began with Daryl washing ashore in France. As the series continued, the story of his travels would be fleshed out in flashback scenes which revealed he was thrown on board a ship bound for France against his will. During his journey to make his way back home, he encounters new people in need of his aid and sets aside his plan to assist them.

Fans are excited for the second season of this series which truly reinvigorated the fandom. This series not only showcases another part of the world but is a captivating story of survival that is filmed ever so beautifully. Reedus has stated that the series is a work of art, something proven true in the debut season.

AMC and AMC+ will premiere the second season, subtitled The Book of Carol, on September 29 at 9 p.m. ET. The subtitle is included as this season reintroduces Carol Peletier, portrayed by Melissa McBride since 2010, to the storyline after the actress took a short break from acting after the conclusion of the main series in 2022.

AMC has announced several specials to coincide with the premiere of Daryl Dixon.

The first season of Daryl Dixon is now available to stream on Netflix as part of a collaboration between AMC Networks and the streamer. Daryl Dixon season 1, all eight seasons of the first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, and 11 other AMC originals were added to Netflix on August 19. In January 2025, The Ones Who Live and Dead City’s first seasons will also be added. All eleven seasons of The Walking Dead are also available on Netflix.
