See Who Was Eliminated on ‘America’s Got Talent’ and Who Reached the Semifinals!

Night two of Season 19 of America’s Got Talent showcased performances from ten hopeful artists, each vying for the chance to make it to the semifinals. Out of these, only three will be granted that opportunity by America’s votes.

The eleventh act, Airfootworks, secured a spot directly in the September 24 finale, thanks to Howie Mandel’s Live Golden Buzzer the previous night.

America’s Got Talent’s live results night began with host Terry Crews providing a recap of Tuesday night’s performances. The tension heightened as Terry revealed who earned the Live Golden Buzzer. It was discovered that Howie Mandel pressed the Golden Buzzer for Airfootworks before Simon Cowell had the chance, leading Simon to apologize for his over-excitement and attempt to steal Howie’s spotlight. Airfootworks expressed their amazement at the judges’ enthusiasm, saying, “I was surprised to see two judges fighting over us.”

The results night continued with Terry Crews announcing the Top 5 based on America’s votes. First up were extreme ballet dancer Ashlee Montague and NiNi. Ashlee Montague advanced to the Top 5. Next, singer/songwriter Alex Sampson was called up opposite variety act Schumacher, with Alex Sampson earning enough votes to advance.

Dancer Bboy Samuka and singer Brooke Bailey were next. It was announced that Bboy Samuka was still in the competition. Then, the singing group Biko’s Manna faced off against magician Young-Min, with Young-Min coming out on top.

The final spot in the Top 5 was between Legíon and Sky Elements. Sky Elements emerged victorious and moved forward in the competition. Judge Simon Cowell remarked on the difficulty of the decision, saying, “It’s tough, Terry, there are so many good acts.” He praised Sky Elements for their unique performance, adding, “What you did last night was so unique and so special, you might have given yourself a real chance here.”

Before proceeding with more results, AGT treated viewers to a trip to Las Vegas, featuring performances by previous winners Mat Franco and Shin Lim. Mat Franco also performed his signature magic on the AGT stage, adding to the night’s excitement.

The palpable tension continued as the Top 5 artists took the stage: Alex Sampson, Ashlee Montague, Bboy Samuka, Sky Elements, and Young-Min. The first to receive good news was Alex Sampson, who will advance to the semifinals. Young-Min claimed the second spot. This left Ashlee Montague, Bboy Samuka, and Sky Elements competing for the last position. Ultimately, Sky Elements secured the final spot.

Sky Elements’ chief pilot Preston Ward expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am so happy and thankful for America for voting for us. This has been an amazing experience. We have more stories to tell.” They will join last week’s Top 3—Ashes & Arrows, Richard Goodall, and Roni Sagi & Rhythm—in the semifinals.

America’s Got Talent returns next Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, featuring 11 more acts aiming to secure a spot in the semifinals.
