Selena Gomez Responds to TikTok Cosmetic Procedure Rumors – Hollywood Life

Selena Gomez is addressing rumors about her undergoing plastic surgery, making it clear that she wishes to be left alone regarding such speculations.

A TikTok video posted by content creator Marissa the PA in April discussed the 32-year-old singer’s alleged cosmetic procedures. Recently, the video resurfaced, prompting Gomez to respond two days ago, urging people to “leave” her “alone.”

The video featured two photos of Gomez’s face – one from her younger years and another from the present day. Marissa commented in the video, “I literally have no idea what she has gotten done. I think she has been through so much in her life, especially medically related, so I don’t think it’s fair to speculate whether or not she has gotten cosmetic things done.”

The “Calm Down” singer’s response was candid: “Honestly, I hate this. I was on strips because of a flare-up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.” Selena has publicly shared her struggles with lupus, a condition that causes various side effects such as kidney issues, weight loss, and fatigue.

Reacting to Selena’s comment, Marissa appeared shocked in a separate video. She stressed, “I really hope Selena Gomez does not hate me,” and captioned the clip, “Although I always try to lead with grace and mindfulness, I am sorry this upset you (and I understand why it did). I decided to stop making videos like this last year because of the negative impact it can cause. It was never my intention.”

Selena responded graciously, saying “I love you,” and clarified that she wasn’t angry at Marissa. She did express how hurtful it is when people discuss her in ways that feel like body shaming, an issue she has encountered before. Earlier in 2023, she used her platform to remind people that no one should scrutinize others’ appearances and asserted that everyone is “beautiful.” She emphasized, “We have days where maybe we feel like s**t, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself. My medications are important, and I believe they are what help me.”
