Prior announcements also revealed that Katey Sagal from Sons of Anarchy will play Dr. Kureha, an eccentric medical professional who encounters Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates during their journey for the titular treasure. Moreover, Mark Harelik from Presumed Innocent is joining Season 2 as Dr. Hiriluk.

The daytime talk show The Drew Barrymore Show has been renewed for a sixth season, extending its run through the 2025-26 season.

Netflix has ordered a new animated comedy series titled Long Story Short from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The show is described as a narrative about a family’s shared history, complete with inside jokes and lingering wounds. It humorously asks viewers if it would hurt to call their loved ones.

FX’s limited series Say Nothing, based on Patrick Radden Keefe’s book of the same name, is set to premiere on Thursday, Nov. 14, exclusively on Hulu. The nine-episode series is depicted as a gripping tale of murder and memory in Northern Ireland during The Troubles.

Prolific producer Greg Berlanti will receive the 2024 Governors Award during the 76th Emmy Awards, which will air on Sunday, Sept. 15 on ABC.
