Shaboozey vs. Kreshendo Entertainment

Shaboozey is taking legal action to reclaim his songwriting rights. The “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer is reportedly suing his former record company, Kreshendo Entertainment, for breach of contract.

According to sources, Shaboozey’s lawsuit claims that his contract with Kreshendo Entertainment included a provision allowing him to regain his publishing rights. However, the company is allegedly making this impossible.

After leaving Kreshendo Entertainment in 2019 and ending his publishing agreement, Shaboozey subsequently entered into a deal with Warner-Tamerlane, a music publisher. His contract includes a clause that allows him to regain control of his publishing rights if he pays off 110% of the unrecouped balance of prior advances to Warner.

Shaboozey claims he has requested Warner-Tamerlane to provide him with the amount he owes to resolve the deal, but they have allegedly refused to disclose this information. He believes Kreshendo has asked Warner-Tamerlane to withhold this information to keep him locked into the deal, especially after the success of “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

In addition, Shaboozey is suing Kreshendo for reportedly releasing several of his songs without his consent after he terminated his contract with them five years ago. Efforts to get a comment from Kreshendo and Warner-Tamerlane have been unsuccessful.
