Sid Wilson, Kelly Osbourne’s boyfriend, hospitalized after home explosion

Kelly Osbourne rushed to the hospital with her boyfriend, Sid Wilson, on Friday after he suffered “serious burns” from a fire at their family farm.

The 47-year-old Slipknot musician shared a video on Instagram showing the extent of his injuries. The video revealed blisters and inflamed skin on his arms, chest, and lips.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Sid stated, “Hi, everybody, I had an explosion in my face. I’m okay, I’m gonna be okay, but I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”

He also mentioned undergoing an X-ray to ensure he hadn’t inhaled any flames.

“I’m singed everywhere. Eyebrows are singed. My mouth is blistered. My arms pretty bad. Both of my arms,” he explained.

Kelly also took to Instagram, providing her perspective on the incident. “This is why you don’t mess with burn piles,” she said.

Looking frustrated, Kelly added, “He literally set himself on fire and exploded everything.”

She posted another video, showing herself sitting, looking exasperated. In the clip, she was resting her fingers on her forehead and shaking her head.

Kelly then turned the camera to show her son, Sidney, playing with toys on the floor. Finally, she captured Sid lying in the hospital bed, bandaged and scrolling on his phone.

“I have no words,” she captioned the video.

Sid was later transferred to another hospital and kept his fans updated about his condition, assuring them that he was “OK right now.”

Explaining more about the accident, Sid said, “Everyone out there, be really safe when you’re messing with fire. It’s something I’ve dealt with tons of times, and of course, the one time I second guess and go, ‘Oh, I’ll be alright…'”

He thanked everyone for their well wishes, saying, “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be OK. I’m gonna be alright. You guys take care of yourself, and I will take better care of myself. I’ll see you soon.”

Sid confirmed that his injuries wouldn’t prevent him from joining Slipknot’s Here Comes the Pain tour, resuming on September 1 at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma.

“I’m gonna be alright and I don’t care what it takes, I’m gonna see you on tour,” he affirmed.

Slipknot also issued a statement: “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes and will see you all soon.”
