Simone Biles Goes Viral After Revealing Her Lavish Purchase

Following her successful run at the 2024 Olympics, Simone Biles went viral after she was seen purchasing a Hermès handbag while in Paris. While many were happy that the USA Gymnastics star rewarded herself, others criticized her for showing off her wealth.

In response, Biles set the record straight about her purchase while also trolling those who criticized how she spends money.

The Olympic legend took to Threads to clarify that she was not the one who purchased the Hermès handbag. Instead, it was a gift from her parents.

“My parents bought me my Hermès bag. Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents,” Biles wrote.

Sure enough, the revelation quickly went viral, as Biles fans called out those who criticized her without knowing the true story. Her post has since gotten over 80,000 likes and 3,000 comments.

“For those thinking this post is tone deaf… she’s responding to the criticism about her buying a Hermes bag. Simone is clarifying that it’s a gift. Honestly people can’t do anything right on the internet anymore these days,” a fan commented.

Another one said, “Wear that bag baby. Screw the haters.”

A supporter added, “No one deserves that bag more than you do.” A fourth social media user shared, “Talk yo talk Simone!!!!!”

Others also emphasized that even if she bought the bag with her own money, the 27-year-old superstar can spend how she wants it because she worked hard for it.

Sure enough, it’s no one’s business where Simone Biles or her family spend their hard-earned money. Not to mention that Biles deserved some reward, especially after her performance at the Paris Olympics.

Biles bagged four medals in the 2024 iteration of the quadrennial event: three golds in the team all-around, individual all-around and vault, and one silver in the floor exercise. Not only is she now the most decorated gymnast in US history with 11 Olympic medals in her career, but she also strengthened her claim as the GOAT of the sport.

Indeed, Biles can buy anything she wants for herself after everything she has accomplished.
