Couture designer Cenderra Ca’Zanthia has recently found herself at the center of a social media storm after accusing a bride-to-be, Raylee Rukavina, of stealing her custom wedding dress. According to a TikTok video posted on Aug. 24 by Cenderra, Raylee allegedly refused to pay the remaining balance for the dress and subsequently blocked the designer on all communication platforms after the dress was shipped.

Following these allegations, Raylee has largely disappeared from social media, intensifying speculation about the incident. However, Raylee’s sister, McKenzie, reached out to provide their family’s side of the story and clarify the situation.

McKenzie claims that Cenderra misrepresented several aspects of the story and in fact, ignored attempts from Raylee and their family to get in touch before the wedding.

In an exclusive statement, McKenzie shared that Raylee had initially put down 60 percent of the payment for the dress. Two days before the final fitting appointment, the designer canceled. Furthermore, Cenderra missed a Zoom meeting that had been arranged after the fitting was canceled. McKenzie also noted that the fitting video posted by Cenderra featured a model with a completely different body shape from Raylee, raising doubts about the fit of the dress.

According to McKenzie, Cenderra not only delayed shipping the dress but also provided a fake tracking number. Consequently, the dress arrived just two days before the wedding and it didn’t fit Raylee properly.

“Per their contract, the dress was supposed to arrive on Aug. 10,” McKenzie explained. “The designer lied about shipping the dress and sent a false tracking number. When the dress finally arrived TWO days before the wedding on Aug. 22, it was at least two sizes too small, making it completely un-wearable on her wedding day, even after visiting a seamstress.”

Due to the ill-fitting dress, McKenzie claims that Raylee and their mother were forced to hurriedly look for an alternative dress. They reached out to Cenderra for a shipping label to return the dress, but she was reportedly uncooperative.

“The bride and her mother attempted to communicate with the designer, but there was no willingness on her part,” McKenzie said. “They requested a return label to send the dress back. Understandably upset, the bride and her mother decided to delay dealing with the matter until after the wedding and scrambled to find a dress that would work for Raylee to walk down the aisle.”

Raylee eventually found a new dress and wore it on her special day.

Efforts to reach out to Cenderra for her comments have so far been unresponsive.
