Sneak Peek: Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s Impressive Kitchen

Kevin Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick are often referred to as “couple goals.” The duo first met in 1987 and have been enjoying a blissful marriage since 1989.

Over the decades, they’ve welcomed two children, Travis, 35, and Sosie, 32, and accumulated several properties, including a charming farmhouse in Connecticut, New York.

The “Apollo 13” actor and “The Closer” star frequently share glimpses of their three homes. In a past Instagram video, they offered fans a peek into their impressive kitchen. Despite being a quick moment, this sneak peek revealed quite a bit.

Posted on Instagram, the video montage shows clips of Kevin, 65, and Kyra, 58, dancing. The caption read, “It’s been four years since I came out with this one but not a thing has changed.”

In the video, Kyra is seen gracefully twirling in the kitchen of their Connecticut farmhouse. This space boasts high ceilings adorned with yellow wooden beams. Behind her, viewers can catch a glimpse of a massive oven with an extractor fan, a double oven, and a wall-fitted microwave.

Above the hob station, several glass cabinets store glasses and crockery.

Kevin, meanwhile, appears to be filming in their LA home, likely for his upcoming projects. Last year, they shared views of their LA home’s fancy living room in Beverly Hills.

This room, featuring wooden floors and a stone-tiled wall, also houses a chic coffee table with stone sides and a marble top. A small ornamental pig decorates the table’s surface. The room’s floor-to-ceiling sliding doors ensure the bright Californian sun lights up their home.

Kyra and Kevin’s enduring love is evident not only from their charming social media posts but also from their interviews. Kevin recalled his first encounter with Kyra in the mid-1980s, describing it as love at first sight. “I was knocked out,” he shared. “I thought she was amazing.”

In a conversation with People magazine, Kyra divulged their secret to a happy marriage. “A sense of humor is crucial. He is very freaking funny,” she said.

They tied the knot in September 1984. Reflecting on those early years, Kyra mentioned that despite their deep love, they didn’t truly know each other initially. “When I look back at our first four years… by that time, we’d had our second kid, and I look back at those pictures and think: ‘Gosh, I didn’t know him at all!’

“I loved him, but I didn’t know him, and he probably didn’t know me. But you grow together and learn more about each other.”

Their journey from two young lovers to a steadfast couple showcases the beauty of growing together over time.
