‘SNL’ Star Victoria Jackson Reveals Terminal Illness

Breast cancer survivor Victoria Jackson recently shared some heartbreaking news with her fans. The former Saturday Night Live comedian revealed that she has a new health issue and only has a few months left to live. It’s not a return of her breast cancer but an inoperable tumor in her windpipe.

Victoria took to social media to announce her condition and inform fans of the limited time she has left. The inoperable tumor in her windpipe has significantly impacted her health.

According to Victoria, “They cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe, and eventually would suffocate me to death.” She detailed her treatment plan, explaining, “They’re giving me a magic pill. It’s going to be delivered to my front door within the next 12 hours. It’s based on Ribociclib, and it will shrink the marble, hopefully.”

Jackson did her own research on the medication and discovered that patients who take Ribociclib have an average survival time of approximately 32.6 months. The New England Journal of Medicine has also noted that Ribociclib combined with Endocrine Therapy offers significant overall survival benefits for patients.

Despite the seriousness of her condition, Victoria Jackson seems at peace with what lies ahead. “I’ve had a fantastic life,” she stated. Nonetheless, she expressed a couple of hopes for her remaining time. “I’d like to see my grandson born — his name is Jimmy — in October and get to know [him] a little. I would also like to see my daughter Aubrey have a baby.”

Victoria Jackson was a beloved member of Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1992. She frequently appeared on Weekend Update, performed impressions of celebrities like Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor, and starred in numerous films, including UHF, Dream a Little Dream, and The Pick-Up Artist.

Her career, however, slowed down when she became more politically outspoken. In 2011, Jackson criticized Glee for promoting gay characters and advocated for a show that celebrated celibacy instead. She also began promoting various conspiracy theories, which led to her exclusion from the 40th Reunion episode of Saturday Night Live.

Victoria first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2016. Recently, she was in the hospital for a CT scan to see if the cancer had spread, which led to the discovery of her current condition.

Fans are deeply saddened by this news. Please send your best wishes to Victoria Jackson and share your thoughts in the comments below.
