Team USA has millions of fans, but Snoop Dogg may just be its number one supporter. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Snoop consistently brings smiles and laughter while cheering on the athletes.
The rapper and media personality has been a constant presence, clad in his black shades and Team USA tracksuits, mingling with everyone from Simone Biles to Martha Stewart.
Throughout the Games, Snoop has provided regular reports for NBC, marking his second stint as an Olympic correspondent after his breakout role at the Tokyo Games.
Before this year’s festivities, the global star announced, “I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix.” He has certainly delivered. The 52-year-old rapper’s unique commentary and characteristic Snoop-energy have taken the internet by storm, with his Olympic cameos quickly going viral.
Here are some of Snoop’s standout moments so far:
Snoop started off strong as one of the torch bearers for Team USA. The rap icon was among the last to carry the Olympic flame before it reached its final destination at the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. At 6 foot 4, he easily stood out. On his way to pass off the flame, he delighted fans with the Crip Walk, one of his signature moves.
Pairing up multi-gold-medal-winning gymnast Simone Biles with Snoop resulted in an unforgettable moment. Biles and teammate Jordan Chiles engaged in an impromptu dance party with Snoop during the women’s Olympic gymnastics qualifying round. Their spontaneous interaction quickly became a viral sensation.
Snoop also showed his support for Biles at the stadium with a custom-made shirt featuring the Olympic athlete.
During an intense badminton rally between the U.S. and China, Snoop’s colorful commentary stole the spotlight. “They rockin’ and rollin.’ Back and forth. Gimme that. No, I need that. Nope over here. Nope over there,” he said in a now-viral clip liked by over 340,000 TikTok users.
Snoop and Martha Stewart took their friendship to a whole new level during an equestrian dressage match. They showed up in matching attire consisting of riding boots, white pants, black blazers, and helmets.
The two became friends over a decade ago after Snoop made an appearance on Stewart’s cooking show. Since then, they’ve collaborated on various projects, including game shows and Super Bowl commercials.
During the dressage event, where riders navigate through a series of maneuvers, the duo shared laughs as Snoop made up a rap to accompany one of the horse’s sideway shuffles.
Legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps may be off the clock, but he still found time to swim with Snoop. In a video posted by NBC, Phelps and Snoop shared laps, with Snoop donned in a cap reading “Phelps.”
“Mike, you make this look too easy,” Snoop remarked in the clip.
Snoop Dogg was caught “snooping around” the Louvre Museum in Paris in a TikTok he posted. “You ever seen ‘Night at the Museum’?” Snoop asked. “Well, tonight you get to go to the museum with Snoop Dogg.”
In the clip, Snoop walks through the empty halls, highlighting artworks from the museum’s vast collection. At one point, he humorously compared himself to the Mona Lisa, dubbing himself “Mona Lisa’s twin brother, Tony Lisa.”
