‘Sopranos’ Star Michael Imperioli Criticized for Posting Kamala Harris Photos

He might be wishing he had kept his thoughts to himself.

Fans of “Sopranos” star Michael Imperioli criticized him for sharing a photo of a youthful Kamala Harris, donned with short hair and red lipstick, on Instagram. His caption read, “I would vote for her based on this photo alone.”

“Dude, you’re losing your sh-t,” commented one of Imperioli’s 364,000 followers.

“This is real embarrassing my guy,” another user scolded, while a third asked, “Are you ok?”

One commenter pointed out that Harris’ appearance has no relevance to her political efficacy.

“Dude, you’re losing your sh-t,” wrote one of Imperioli’s 364,000 followers after he posted this photo of Harris on Instagram. instagram @realmichaelimperioli

There was even speculation that the 58-year-old Upper West Side actor, who tagged @kamalahq in the caption of the photo, was being paid by Harris’ campaign.

“This is what it looks like when your acting career falls apart, and you need money,” one user quipped.

“Imperioli has been bought by the corrupt entities that promise him roles on TV and movies. If he doesn’t go with what they want, he will be unemployed. Mikey, if you need help, give us a sign,” added another.

By Monday, Imperioli, a vocal Democrat who has donated to Harris’ campaign, had removed the comments and disabled the ability of users to comment on the post.

However, on Thursday, he posted another photo of a younger Harris, again wearing red lipstick and looking resolute with her arms crossed.

The caption read: “SAVE DEMOCRACY. VOTE FOR KAMALA. LINKS IN BIO to REGISTER TO VOTE and to DONATE TO THE CAMPAIGN,” tagging Harris’ headquarters once more.

Underneath, he added a tongue-in-cheek message: “actors should stick to acting and never make comments about politics or anything really.”

His third comment said, “the only way Trump can win is by cheating. he’s way behind and knows it.”

Fans couldn’t hold back, with many referencing his character, Christopher Moltisanti, on the HBO series. On the show, Christopher meets a tragic end at the hands of Tony Soprano.

“Watch it Chrissy,” one fan warned. “No wonder Tony didn’t save you,” another added.
