The news is especially exciting as it coincides with the return of Jonathan Jackson as Lucky after an eight-year hiatus. It appears Jackson’s return won’t be a fleeting one, suggesting Wilson’s character Isaiah might also have a substantial presence.

Jackson began playing Lucky in 1993. Lucky is the son of Luke and Laura Spencer (Anthony Geary and Genie Francis), whose wedding became a landmark moment in television history. Jackson continued in the role intermittently until 2011 before joining the cast of Nashville for six seasons.

Discussing his return, Jackson shared some insights with TV Insider. He mentioned that Lucky has been away for nearly a decade, and viewers will learn about what he’s been up to. The character hasn’t been idle; he’s been actively engaged in various activities.

Jackson also noted that Lucky has evolved to resemble his father, Luke, more than ever before. Previously, Lucky was working as a police officer, trying to carve out his own identity. His last appearance on General Hospital was in 2015.

As for Sawandi Wilson, he’s best recognized for his role in Star Trek: Discovery as Captain Leto. Leto is a Kwejian-Human hybrid who served as a Starfleet Captain in the 33rd century. Wilson appeared in the show’s fifth season, with his character being named after Booker’s deceased nephew.

Wilson’s career began as a breakdancer before he transitioned to acting. He studied at Hofstra University and honed his acting skills with Marishka Phillips, Susan Batson, and Bob Krakower. His first big break came in the dance movie Step Up 3D released in 2010.

Netflix viewers might recognize Wilson from his role as Dominique in The House of Flowers. He also starred in Prime Video’s Harlem as Marcus. Additionally, Wilson featured in all six episodes of the comedy series Date.Love.Repeat.
