Stevie Nicks and Harry Styles Pay Tribute to Christine McVie at UK Show

There are special guest stars, and then there’s extra-special guest stars. Harry Styles falls into the latter category, as he joined Stevie Nicks at her July 12 concert in the UK for renditions of her hits Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around and Landslide.

Styles took to the stage with his guitar, covering the Tom Petty/Lindsey Buckingham vocal parts. This wasn’t unfamiliar territory for him, having shared the stage with Nicks on multiple occasions in the past.

Nicks was performing as part of the BST Hyde Park concert series. Addressing the audience in London, she shared that she invited Styles to help her commemorate what would have been the 81st birthday of her late Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Christine McVie.

“At the end of the show, since the end of last year and since Christine passed away, I would say something about her,” Nicks explained. “I asked Harry to do this with me and it’s a lot to ask someone to sing a heavy song about a best friend that died so suddenly and so sadly.”

She added, “What I want to say to you is that Christine was Harry’s girl, she was my girl, she was your girl, and she loved all of you. Today would’ve been her birthday.”
