Following his July 4 headlining debut at London’s BST Hyde Park, which also featured performances from Riley Green, Ella Langley, and Ernest, Morgan Wallen has released the highly anticipated ballad “Lies Lies Lies,” through Big Loud/Mercury/Republic.

Written by ACM songwriter of the year winner Jessie Jo Dillon, alongside Josh Miller, Daniel Ross, and two-time Grammy winner Chris Tompkins, the ballad’s production was handled by Joey Moi. The song was initially recorded at London’s Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios in December 2023, shortly after Wallen’s sold-out O2 London show on December 3. This recording session was part of his seven-song Abbey Road Sessions series, which was digitally released on March 3, 2024. The release also celebrated the one-year anniversary of Wallen’s third studio album One Thing at a Time.

Wallen expressed the significance of the experience, saying, “Playing the O2 in London last fall and getting to record at Abbey Road, where so much iconic music has been made, was legendary for me and my band. We will never forget it. I’m so excited to release these Abbey Road Sessions for my fans on the one-year anniversary of One Thing at a Time. They make all this possible.”

The Abbey Road Sessions included other tracks like “Sunrise,” “Everything I Love,” “I Deserve a Drink,” and a rendition of Nothing But Thieves’ “Graveyard Whistling.”

Meanwhile, Wallen’s collaboration with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” has maintained its top position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six weeks and led the Hot Country Songs chart for seven weeks.
