Supergirl’s Official Suit Debuts in My Adventures with Superman

My Adventures with Superman has officially concluded its Season 2, and in its grand finale, Kara Zor-El was finally given an official super suit of her own. The season started by introducing Clark to the fact that his cousin Kara also survived Krypton’s destruction. After some hesitance, Clark reaches out to Kara, only to discover that she was working for Brainiac— a machine bent on destroying planets to revive the fallen Kryptonian Empire, a cause Kara believed was led by her father.

The episodes leading up to the finale have been tough for both Clark and Kara. Kara realized she had been brainwashed by Brainiac, and Clark also fell victim to Brainiac’s mental manipulation. Brainiac took over Clark’s body, and it took Lois jumping into the Black Mercy to save him. Once Clark and Kara were on the same page, they still had Brainiac to contend with. By the end of the finale, Kara managed to help Clark fight back, officially becoming Supergirl as we know her.

Much like how My Adventures with Superman showcased Superman’s new suit ahead of the finale, the final episode of Season 2 introduced Kara’s own version of the superhero suit. During the finale, Kara continued to struggle against Brainiac’s mind control, as he could still manipulate her through her suit. Kara and Clark had an intense battle, but Clark refused to fight back, instead appealing to Kara’s emotions and pain. This emotional appeal worked, and Kara managed to break free from Brainiac’s control.

In a pivotal moment, Kara and Clark find themselves in the middle of the sun while battling Brainiac. The sun’s energy gives them a new burst of power. With this newfound energy, they fight Brainiac once more, and Kara unlocks a red and blue suit reminiscent of Clark’s. This is a full-circle moment for Kara, who has struggled throughout the season. With both Kara and Clark now sporting their suits, they can finally support each other as family heading into Season 3, which is already in the works.
