Tallulah Willis Shares Heartfelt Update on Bruce Willis’ Dementia Battle

Bruce Willis is a beloved father to five daughters who treasure their time with him. The past two years have been especially challenging for Bruce and his family as they adapt to his changing health condition. In the spring of 2022, Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia, which progressed to a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Despite losing his ability to communicate, Bruce’s capacity to show love remains undiminished.

His daughter Tallulah, 30, spoke candidly with E! News about her father’s condition, describing it as stable but painful to witness. Nonetheless, the family continues to surround Bruce with love and support.

“It’s the same, which in this situation is a good thing. Our visits are filled with so much love, and I feel that. What matters most to me is maintaining that connection,” she said.

Though he struggles with dementia, Bruce’s unconditional love for his family, particularly Tallulah, is evident.

“I know he knows how much I love him. I know how much he loves me—I know how much he loves all of us,” she shared. “It’s a hard thing for anyone going through this. But it’s also created an opportunity for more love within my family.”

Being in the public eye adds an extra layer of complexity to Bruce’s battle with dementia. Tallulah notes that growing up in the spotlight provided them with a unique platform to influence and help others.

“We are in a very unique position where we have this platform. All of us, in our own ways, have a voice… and I think it’s been ingrained in us to think, ‘how can we use something that’s painful or challenging to create awareness about it’. ”
