Target Releases Exclusive Batman and Robin Graphic Novel: ‘Father and Son’

Hot on the heels of the new Batman animated series, Target has dropped a limited-edition Batman and Robin graphic novel with an exclusive cover.

“Batman: Caped Crusader” debuted on Prime Video on August 1 and follows Bruce Wayne and his “one-man crusade for justice” as Batman. The series description teases that Batman attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, and his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.

The new graphic novel, meantime, features Batman and Robin not just as superhero and sidekick but as father and son, teaming up to save the streets of Gotham City.

This edition features a brooding and mysterious all-black silhouette of Batman and Robin against an illuminated cityscape. The 160-page graphic novel was released on August 6 and is a Target exclusive, meaning you won’t be able to find this version of the book anywhere else.

Fans know that this version of Robin is actually Damian Wayne, the biological son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. First introduced as Robin in “Batman #657,” Damian is back for a new era in this graphic novel, officially titled “Batman and Robin Vol. 1: Father and Son.”

According to publishers Random House, the new graphic novel follows Batman and Robin as they take on a new villain named Shush. “With Gotham City becoming a literal urban jungle, the greatest superhero team must uncover who this new foe is and who they’re working for,” reads the book description. “As if that’s not enough, Damian must embrace his secret identity and become something he’s never been before, a student.”

Pick up this Target exclusive “Batman and Robin” graphic novel for $20.99 at Target.com. This limited-edition release makes it an instant collectible for Batman fans and DC Comics collectors alike.
