Episode 5 of the ominous thriller K-drama Tarot debuted on U+ Mobile TV on Monday, July 29, 2024. Titled “Going Home,” the new installment features well-known actor Go Gyu-Pil as the central character, Ko Kyeong-Rae. In the episode, viewers witness him ending up with “The Fool / Clown: Adventure and Exploration” tarot card, which is cursed similar to the other cards shown in previous editions.

Tarot K-Drama Episode 5 shows Ko Kyeong-Rae getting involved in terrible and heinous acts of crime one after another, all while trying to return home to his wife and daughter. Let’s delve into the details of his actions throughout the episode below.

Episode 5, titled “Going Home,” begins with police officers taking Ko Kyeong-Rae (Go Gyu-Pil) to the police station. While in the police car, they start interrogating him about an incident that took place in a motel. Kyeong-Rae tries to convince them of his innocence, even explaining the signs of blood and injury on his finger, which he claims were caused by a tarot card he saw while leaving the motel lobby. However, it looks like the officers do not believe him.

The narrative then shifts back to the moment when Ko Kyeong-Rae is inside the motel room, talking to his wife on the mobile phone. It becomes evident that he is lying for some reason. At that moment, another woman appears in the room.

The episode reveals that Kyeong-Rae has been cheating on his wife for quite some time. As he starts to leave the motel to return home, the woman becomes upset and starts blackmailing him, threatening to disclose their affair to his wife. Nervous, Kyeong-Rae begins clicking a pen continuously.

Ko Kyeong-Rae then gets a taxi to return home, but the behavior of the taxi driver makes him suspicious. The driver takes the taxi to a forested area to make a deal with some other men. On the phone, the driver talks about a body and organs, making Kyeong-Rae believe that the driver is plotting his murder to sell his organs. In a panic, he brutally murders the driver by stabbing him in the neck with a pen.

Kyeong-Rae also attacks and kills the two men who arrive for the deal. However, it turns out they were talking about the body of an animal the driver had in the car’s trunk. After beating the men to death, Kyeong-Rae sets the taxi on fire with the three dead men inside it.

The episode then discloses that he also killed the woman with whom he was having the affair. When she tries to fake-call his wife, he stabs her in the neck with the pen.

Towards the end of Tarot episode 5, viewers see Ko Kyeong-Rae trying to get a lift on the highway. At that moment, a police car arrives and takes him inside. As mentioned earlier, they are questioning him about what happened at the motel. Kyeong-Rae accidentally tells the police officer that his actions were in self-defense and tries to justify them.

Realizing he is in trouble with the police, he attacks them, causing the police car to crash. Seen talking to his wife and daughter on his mobile phone, his face and clothes show clear signs of blood. The episode ends with him leaving the pen and the tarot card inside a locker.
