She had never dated someone younger before and was unsure of the challenges it would bring. She points out that their relationship is entirely legal—something she is keen to clarify. In the United Kingdom, it is legal for adults to have consensual sex with a 16-year-old, provided no trust-related power dynamics, such as a teacher-student relationship, are involved, according to Glamour UK.

Despite categorizing the relationship as fresh, Newcombe shared that Vituk is the most mature, kind, and loving person she has ever been with. She understands that public opinion will always vary but insists that it’s unacceptable to bully her, Vituk, or anyone they know.

Regarding their relationship timeline, Vituk first appeared on Newcombe’s TikTok on June 8, 2024, in a video where they danced together at an event, possibly a wedding reception. The text on the video reads, “Crazier how someone can make you happier in a few weeks than anyone has ever in your whole life,” suggesting they started dating around mid-May.

Just five days later, Newcombe shared another TikTok of the couple at a Build-A-Bear Workshop, showing Vituk picking out a teddy bear. In the video, Newcombe is heard saying, “Are you serious? Our first child?” with text reading, “Making our firstborn.” Following this, more TikToks featured the pair at the beach, gym, or simply doing typical couple activities. Online reactions to their relationship were mixed, with some humorously noting all the things he can’t legally do due to his age.
