Taylor Swift and Mom Meet Southport Stabbing Victims Backstage at Eras Tour

LONDON — Families who were present at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, U.K., where a tragic stabbing incident occurred, were treated to a special experience at the Eras Tour. During the attack, three children lost their lives, and ten others were injured.

Sami Foster, one of the mothers affected, shared a heartfelt montage of photographs accompanied by Swift’s song “Enchanted” from the 1989 World Tour. In her TikTok post, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “You drew stars around my scars 💫🥹 …. The biggest thank you to @Taylor Swift and her mum for making the most magical night possible for us all 🫶🏻 thank you for bringing Hope & Autumn pure happiness last night & always 💗💗💗.”

The incident, which took place on July 29, claimed the lives of three children aged 6, 7, and 9. Additionally, two adults and eight other children sustained injuries but were released from the hospital days later, according to Merseyside police.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with the murder of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar. He is also facing ten counts of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

In response to the attack, Swift expressed her shock and sorrow the day after the incident via a statement on her Instagram story. She reflected on the tragedy, stating, “The horror of yesterday’s attack is washing over me continuously and I’m just completely in shock. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

In a show of solidarity and support, 22,000 fans rallied together to raise over 385,000 Euros (approximately $426,000) for the victims and their families in the aftermath of the stabbings.

Swift is scheduled to perform one more night at Wembley Stadium in London before concluding the European leg of her Eras Tour. Following this, she will take a two-month break, with her shows resuming in Miami on October 18.
