Taylor Swift Fans Vow She’s Not Returning to Germany Wax Museum After Reveal

A Taylor Swift waxwork figure has been unveiled at the Panoptikum Museum in Hamburg, and it has certainly sparked a mix of reactions from the public. Clad in a blue sequinned outfit and posing with her hands forming a heart symbol, the wax figure took around seven months to create.

Once a snap of the Swift waxwork—dubbed “Taylor Smith” by some critical social media users—was shared online, it became a hot topic. “Well, it’s definitely something,” one person commented, while another said, “They did her dirty with this.” Many expressed their perplexity, with one remarking, “I have so many questions,” and another joking, “She’s never going back to Germany.” However, there were also those who felt the waxwork did resemble the award-winning star.

The new figure of Swift will join other iconic personalities such as Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, and The Beatles at the Panoptikum Museum. Swift, meanwhile, is in the midst of her Eras Tour and is gearing up for her highly anticipated sold-out shows in London.

The Vienna shows were canceled due to terror threats, but Mayor Sadiq Khan assured Sky News on 8 August that the UK capital will “carry on” hosting Swift at Wembley. Policing Minister Diana Johnson stated that Scotland Yard would review “all the intelligence” ahead of Swift’s five dates at London’s Wembley Stadium between Thursday, 15 August and Tuesday, 20 August.

Khan mentioned that London is excited to welcome Taylor Swift back, highlighting that the city is an international hub regularly hosting major events. He emphasized London’s extensive experience in policing such events, noting that many lessons have been learned since the tragic Manchester Arena attack.

“The police work closely, not just with City Hall, but with councils and concert hosts, to ensure the Taylor Swift concerts take place in London safely,” Khan added. He acknowledged that Vienna had its reasons for canceling the Swift concerts but reiterated that London would proceed, collaborating closely with the police to guarantee safety.
