Taylor Swift Fans Worry About Shaky Stage Lift in New Eras Tour Video

For more than a year, Taylor Swift has performed her wildly popular Eras Tour. Fans have been thrilled by viral moments from each of her concerts—but recently, Swifties expressed safety concerns over a video of a shaky stage lift.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, an X user shared a clip of Swift and her dancers performing “…Ready for It?” from her Reputation era. As they danced, one section of the stage lift shook more than the others next to it.

“omg one of the lifts was keep moving sideways, my anxiety would never let me stand on it,” they captioned the update.

In the comments, other fans shared their concerns, with one sharing, “I was seeing video of the other night and it was moving too.”

One X user wrote, “it’s very noticeable during so high school & it terrifies me,” while another echoed, “that’s actually terrifying.”

Someone else commented, “That is why, it’s ok to end the Eras in December considering the longevity of the materials, it’s already depreciating.”

Meanwhile, another fan joked, “that stage has been working for more than a year its doing its best.”

One X user pointed out, “i’m more anxious about the speak now dress being stuck between the stage and the lift.”

Still, others didn’t see a reason to worry about the stage lifts, with one writing, “they’re collapsable to fit under the stage: it’s just a side effect of that feature.”

“It’s designed like that,” a second agreed. “There as to be some give in it to prevent wear. Not an issue.”

Yet another X user commented, “You can see the top is moving a lot but the bottom is solid. It ain’t moving. She’s good.”

Next on Swift’s Eras Tour, she will travel to Vienna, Austria, for three back-to-back performances on Aug. 8, 9 and 10 before heading to London for five more shows.
