Aug. 6 (UPI) — MTV has revealed the nominees for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
Taylor Swift leads the pack with 10 nominations, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.
If Swift secures Video of the Year, she will set a new record by becoming the only artist to win the award three consecutive times and five times overall in the category.
Close behind Swift is Post Malone with nine nominations. Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter each received six nominations.
Megan Thee Stallion and SZA have both been nominated for five awards, while Blackpink’s Lisa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims are each up for four awards. Carpenter and Swims are among the 29 artists nominated for the first time.
