Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ Concerts in Vienna Canceled Due to Terrorist Threat

Taylor Swift’s concerts in Austria have been canceled due to government concerns about a planned terrorist attack, despite TMZ confirming that two men have already been arrested for the alleged plot.

Authorities aren’t fully confident that they’ve apprehended all individuals involved in the planned attack. They say the threat has been “minimized,” but there is still an “abstract” threat that remains.

Vienna police report that they have arrested two Austrian citizens after a bomb squad found bomb-making materials in the home of a 19-year-old suspect. Both men were reportedly radicalized and had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. Authorities believe the men had targeted one of the three shows that were slated to begin in Vienna this weekend.

Vienna authorities stated, “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Vienna shows canceled due to government officials confirmation of a planned terrorist attack. We have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.” The venue will provide full refunds to would-be concertgoers.

It’s unclear if the planned attack will affect any of Taylor’s upcoming shows. She’s scheduled to perform in London a week from Thursday at Wembley Stadium.
