Hunt revealed to Bloomberg that Taylor Swift’s high-profile romance with Travis Kelce led to a 30-percent increase in the team’s fan base.

“I always want to point out how happy I am for Taylor and Travis in the relationship. I’ve seen them together and they make a fantastic couple,” he said, adding, “the growth in our female fan base has been amazing over the last year.” It certainly helps that the Chiefs are not just good; they are literally the best in the league.

The “Taylor Swift effect” is also observable in the demand for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Kelce’s jerseys, according to Yardbarker. Both have the most sought-after jerseys in the NFL. However, it’s interesting to note that neither of them topped the league in sales of officially licensed apparel. That distinction goes to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. In fact, from March 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024, Travis’ now-retired brother Jason Kelce was a bigger seller than the Chiefs tight end.

Interestingly, Jason Kelce is often seen not wearing a jersey—or any shirt at all, for that matter.
