Teen Criticizes American Airlines for Downgrading Him from First Class to Coach

Juvenile has recently taken to social media to express his grievances with American Airlines. The rapper alleges that he was forced to leave a flight after the airline attempted to downgrade his seat from first-class to coach.

On August 21, the “Back That Azz Up” artist went live on Instagram during a heated conversation with two American Airlines employees who were insisting he move to the back of the plane. A video shared by Hip Hop DX documents the incident, showing Juvenile choosing to disembark the flight rather than accept the coach seating.

“They trying to kick me off the plane, y’all,” Juvenile informed his followers, panning his phone to highlight the two airline staffers involved in the dispute.

“They trying to take me out of first class,” he elaborated.

A woman sitting beside him questioned the staffers about where they intended to relocate Juvenile. A male employee responded, “We’re going to put him in coach.”

“Oh no!” the woman exclaimed.

Juvenile firmly rejected the coach seats and informed the airline staff that such a situation “ain’t never happened to me in my life.”

“I’m a celebrity. I’m telling y’all it’s gonna be repercussions to this,” he warned, highlighting his status as a platinum-selling artist. The woman accompanying him also confirmed that they were seated in their assigned first-class seats, 1A and 1C.

Feeling disrespected by the offer to move to coach, Juvenile decided to exit the aircraft entirely.

“I’m a get off the plane. I’m not going to let y’all disrespect me like that,” Juvenile stated. “I’m not going to let y’all choose me out of all the people on the plane and disrespect me.”

He collected his belongings and left the flight. In a follow-up video, Juvenile showcased his phone, revealing the numerous first-class flights he had previously booked, including those with American Airlines.

“I think I know a thing or two about first class,” he remarked. “F*** American Airlines, all the money I done spent with you b*****s.”

Juvenile expressed his frustration at never having to fly coach before, feeling “played” by the airline after frequenting their services so extensively. Fans of the rapper rallied in support, questioning why American Airlines seemingly singled him out.

“Terrible. I wonder what the reason was. Hmmmmm,” one fan wrote.

“Justice for Juvie,” added another.

One viewer likened the incident to being treated poorly akin to “Rosa Parks days.” American Airlines has yet to issue a statement addressing the situation.
