‘Teen Mom’ Star Catelynn Lowell Criticizes Carly’s Parents Online

Catelynn Baltierra (Lowell) has recently expressed her dissatisfaction with the terms of the open adoption for her daughter Carly. The Teen Mom star took to social media to voice her concerns about the arrangement, criticizing Carly’s adoptive parents. Here’s what she had to say.

There have been numerous occasions where Tyler and Catelynn have spoken out about Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Theresa. In the comment section of a post on Instagram, Catelynn vented about the situation. She wrote, “One day Carly will be around to see our side and have all the facts from our side and make her choice… Whatever choice that is I will always support. But she also will see the texts and everything from over the years.”

She continued, “I will NEVER bash her parents. I will ONLY share the ways I have always tried etc and how many times I have been shut down.”

Catelynn clarified that she wasn’t “talking trash,” she was just sharing her truth. Adoption affects everyone involved, including herself, her husband, and the children they are raising. She emphasized, “It not only affects me, my husband, and the children we are raising but it also affects Carly.”

A Teen Mom fan account on Instagram shared a screenshot of Catelynn’s comment. Fans eagerly commented on the ongoing drama involving Brandon, Theresa, and Carly’s biological parents.

One commenter said, “I think Brandon and Teresa only agreed to the ‘open’ adoption because they wanted a baby badly. Once they figured out they didn’t actually have to abide by the agreement, it was over with.”

Another pointed out that the adoption agreement wasn’t legally enforceable and that the open adoption terms were only applicable until Carly turned 5. After that, it was up to her adoptive parents whether Catelynn and Tyler could see her.

They continued, “If C&T truly wanted a relationship with Carly, they’d quit being trashy reality TV/soft core p0rn stars, get degrees, real careers (like they said they were going to), and respect the privacy of B&T’s daughter.”

Others suggested that Carly might not want a relationship with Tyler and Catelynn, as she’s only known Brandon and Theresa as her parents. Additionally, there always seems to be some drama when Catelynn attempts to visit her.

Carly is the oldest daughter of Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. The couple appeared on MTV’s Teen Mom when Catelynn was pregnant with Carly. Rather than become teen parents, they decided to give Carly up for adoption.

The adoption terms were supposed to be “open,” allowing Tyler and Catelynn to visit their daughter occasionally. However, their visits have become less frequent, and Catelynn blames Carly’s adoptive parents for that.
