Testing Elsa Hosk’s Pricey Summer Blueberry Cobbler Erewhon Smoothie

Elsa Hosk is currently making waves in the fashion and wellness industries. Alongside launching a Scandi Summer collection for her brand, Helsa, and featuring in SKIMS’ latest campaigns, the 35-year-old Swedish model has also collaborated with Erewhon to create a new smoothie.

The Blueberry Cobbler Scandi Summer smoothie, inspired by Hosk’s childhood dessert, is available at Erewhon in Southern California until August 15. The smoothie blends the flavors of a wild blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream and consists of several organic ingredients.

Key components include:

  • Malk Organic Vanilla Oat Milk
  • Organic blueberries
  • Organic banana
  • Organic almond butter
  • Lucuma (eggfruit)
  • KOS Organic Blue Spirulina Powder
  • Organic dates
  • Bio-K Blueberry
  • ARMRA Colostrum
  • Eidon Ionic Minerals Silica
  • Organic maple syrup
  • Organic coconut cream
  • Organic coconut whip
  • Organic graham crust

On the day of the launch, July 15, Hosk took to Instagram to express how perfectly the smoothie captured the essence of her beloved summer treat while incorporating beautifying and healthy ingredients.

However, the smoothie’s premium ingredients come with a higher price tag of $22, making it even more expensive than Hailey Bieber’s popular Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, priced at $19.

A TikTok content creator, @misterpreda, expressed his views on the beverage. He criticized the selection of blueberries, considering them more appropriate for fall rather than summer. He suggested more citrus and tropical flavors would better suit a summer drink.

Despite the critique, it’s important to note that in North America, blueberry season extends from April to late September. In Sweden, where Hosk takes her inspiration from, blueberry season runs from mid-July to September, aligning perfectly with her summer memories.

As for my personal experience, I thoroughly enjoyed the Blueberry Cobbler Scandi Summer smoothie. It indeed tasted like a blueberry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream and graham cracker crust. The drink had a fresh taste, lighter than a milkshake, which distinguished it from other celeb collaborations I’ve tried.

The smoothie’s consistency was just right for me — not too thick, making it easy to sip through a straw. While another reviewer, @misterpreda, found it watery, I appreciated its lighter texture.

However, the graham cracker pieces posed a bit of a challenge. They occasionally clogged the straw and quickly became soggy. Though the graham cracker flavor contributes to the cobbler taste, a buttery pie crust might have been a better choice to complete the flavor profile.

Overall, the Blueberry Cobbler Scandi Summer smoothie is delicious, refreshing, and visually appealing. The bright blue swirls and coconut whip make it Instagram-worthy. While I wouldn’t spend $22 on it frequently, it’s worth trying if you’re a fan of blueberries, cobbler, and Elsa Hosk.
