‘The Boys’ Prequel Series Starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash

Prime Video’s The Boys is expanding its universe with a new prequel series. This upcoming spin-off will focus on Soldier Boy and Stormfront, set against the backdrop of 1950s New York City. The new series is titled Vought Rising.

The announcement came from the original show’s creator, Eric Kripke, during a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. He was joined by executive producer Paul Grellong and actors Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. Kripke and Grellong elaborated on the expansion of The Boys universe, stating, “We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought.”

They continued, “We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.” Jensen Ackles is scheduled to reprise his role as Soldier Boy, originally created by Frederick Vought during World War II. Aya Cash will continue to play Stormfront.

In addition to Vought Rising, more spin-offs are expected to follow. This includes The Boys: Mexico, which will be executive produced by Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, as well as the second season of Gen V.
