The ‘Claim to Fame’ Telephone Challenge Returns: Here Are the Clues

Claim to Fame is back for Season 3, and we’ve already seen four players eliminated due to incorrect guesses. The anticipation is building as viewers yearn for someone to uncover a competitor’s identity finally.

The reality show brings together 11 contestants who must conceal their connections to A-list celebrities while living under one roof in a Hollywood mansion. Each week, a “nepo-baby” is unmasked, with the last one standing taking home a $100,000 prize. This episode returned to the usual elimination format, narrowing the field by one more player.

This week’s Episode 3 featured the exciting telephone challenge. Contestants raced against time to relay cryptic clues about each other through a sequence of obstacles. The winning and losing teams emerged, leading to new revelations and an eventual elimination.

In Episode 3, Miguel was the unlucky contestant, becoming the fourth to guess incorrectly and leave the game. Despite lasting three weeks, no one had a solid idea of who his celebrity relative was. After Shane’s team lost the telephone challenge, and Miguel had previously executed a brilliant deception, Shane believed Miguel would be voted the guesser. He was correct, and Miguel wagered that his former ally Dedrick was related to Little Richard. That guess was wrong, and as a result, Miguel’s own celebrity connection was revealed.

Miguel, whose real name is Raphael Curtis, turned out to be the nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis. His mother is Allegra Curtis, Jamie Lee’s half-sister. To mislead the other contestants, Miguel emphasized his Latino heritage.

The telephone challenge returned, pitting two teams of four against each other to convey a limerick-filled with clues about competitors’ celebrity relatives. Each limerick contained five lines, presumed to reference specific contestants, with two red herring lines. The limericks read as follows:

Limerick #1:
On the mountain there once was a lion,
In a handsome rose dress she was stylin,
But her dancing was bad,
And it made the town sad,
So they shipped her right off to the island.

Limerick #2:
His toga was in disarray,
On an oddly peculiar Friday,
He wrote a honky tonk song,
But his hair was too long,
And his pompadour needed a spray.

Based on previous clues, possible guesses include:
– “In a handsome rose dress she was stylin” potentially referencing Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink, aligning with the clue that Naomi might be related to Ringwald.
– “But her dancing was bad” seemingly pointing to Michael Jackson’s song “Bad,” possibly indicating Dedrick’s connection to Jackson.
– “On an oddly peculiar Friday” signifying Jamie Lee Curtis’s role in Freaky Friday.
– “On the mountain there once was a lion” hinting at the “cougar” aspect of John Cougar Mellencamp, perhaps relating to Hud’s supposed relative.

However, other clues are ambiguous, potentially nodding to Pirates of the Caribbean, Elvis Presley, or a country music star. As more information surfaces, the contestants and audience aim to decode these enigmatic hints.

Following Episode 3, seven contestants remain in the competition:
– Adam
– Danny
– Dedrick
– Hud
– Mackenzie
– Naomi
– Shane
