The Hardest Working Royal Returns after Weeks with Her First Appearance

After taking the time to recover following a speculated horse-related accident back in June, where she was hospitalized with a concussion for approximately five days, Princess Anne —aka the hardest working royal—has returned to her public duties with her first appearance in weeks.

Earlier today, Princess Anne marked her return to royal duties by visiting the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College in Gloucestershire, England.

According to a post on the royal family’s Instagram page, the 73-year-old royal presented awards and met some of this year’s winners of the Championships, which are hailed as the biggest equestrian event of its kind for disabled competitors.

According to the Daily Mail, Helena Vega Lozano, chair of RDA UK, revealed that once Princess Anne arrived at the venue, she shared that she “can’t remember a single thing” about the incident that led to her hospitalization.

On June 24, Buckingham Palace revealed in a statement posted on the official royal family website that Princess Anne was taken to the hospital for medical treatment after sustaining injuries while on her Gatcombe Park estate. Her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, and her two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, were said to be on the estate when the incident occurred.

According to a study conducted by a digital PR agency, data collected via The Court Circular showed that Princess Anne was the hardest working royal of 2023. The Princess Royal participated in a total of 212 royal engagements, not including official meetings, surpassing even her brother, King Charles, who attended 197 royal engagements.

Glad to see you’re doing better, Princess Anne.
