The Holland We’ve All Been Waiting For

Deadpool & Wolverine stunt coordinator George Cottle revealed that Tom Holland’s brother, Harry Holland, made a cameo as one of the Deadpools from the Void. This adds yet another name to the extensive list of cameos in the film.

Cottle, who is also the second unit director, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Harry Holland in the Deadpool costume on his Instagram stories. He captioned it: “When [Shawn Levy] and [Ryan Reynolds] set the bar so f****** high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star!!”

He added, “It may not [be] the Holland the world wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!!” and further praised Harry Holland with “Harry Holland, You smashed it my friend,” hashtagged #Haroldpool.

With the numerous cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine, even Ryan Reynolds seemed slightly taken aback. He shared Cottle’s post on his own Instagram, writing, “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?”

Harry Holland also posted Cottle’s story, simply adding, “Lots of cameos in Deadpool.”

Harry Holland had previously appeared in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, where his brother Tom starred as Spider-Man. In that film, Harry played a bicycle thief, but his cameo was eventually cut from the final release.

*Spoilers follow – you have been warned*

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Harry Holland was among several Deadpool variants appearing in a large-scale third-act fight scene with Deadpool and Wolverine. Other notable cameos among the Deadpool variants included Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, voicing Lady Deadpool, Reynolds and Lively’s daughter Inez voicing Kidpool, Matthew McConaughey as the voice of Cowboy Deadpool, Nathan Fillion as the voice of Headpool, and Paul Mullin as Welshpool.

Additionally, the film features several cameos from characters in pre-MCU films. Captain America actor Chris Evans returns as Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four, Jennifer Garner reprises her role as Elektra, Wesley Snipes appears once more as the vampire hunter from the Blade trilogy, and Channing Tatum shows up as Gambit, poking fun at his own film that never saw the light of day.

The Independent’s Clarisse Loughrey gave the movie two stars, describing it as a “tedious and annoying corporate merger of a film.”

Despite mixed reviews, Deadpool & Wolverine managed to collect $205 million in its opening weekend in North America, ranking number eight among films that crossed the $200 million mark in their opening weekend. This feat has been achieved by only nine films in the history of Hollywood.
