‘The Rookie’ Season 7 Welcomes Two New Cast Members
The Rookie is set to return to ABC with new episodes for its seventh season in 2025. Currently, the cop drama is in the midst of filming and has introduced two new rookies, who will appear in recurring guest roles.
First up is Deric Augustine, cast as Miles. Although new to the LAPD, Miles has prior experience as a police officer in Texas, where he served for two years.

The second rookie is Seth, portrayed by Patrick Keleher. Seth is described as the ideal police officer, yet the job’s demands for quick, decisive action don’t come naturally to him.

ABC has not disclosed whether either of these new rookies will partner with John Nolan (Nathan Fillion), who serves as a training officer in the series.
Augustine’s previous acting credits include his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in Godfather of Harlem, as well as roles in All American, Swagger, Shameless, Criminal Minds, The Vampire Diaries, and Queen Sugar.
Keleher, on the other hand, is a newcomer, with The Rookie marking his television debut.
