Jax Taylor is shedding light on his recent stay at an inpatient treatment center this summer, revealing he was diagnosed with two significant disorders.
The ‘Valley’ star shared that during his multi-week stay at the facility, he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and PTSD.
Jax explained that for a long time, he sensed something was wrong and was fearful of discovering what it could be. His decision to check into treatment in July was driven by this concern, and he’s still coming to terms with his diagnosis.
Back in July, Jax sought treatment for mental health issues, and he left in August to film another season of “The Valley.” Initially, the specific mental health issues were not disclosed.
Since returning home, Jax has experienced a newfound sense of peace, largely thanks to his son, Cruz. When he’s not on set, he focuses on exercise and spending quality time with his son.
Despite this, he admits to feeling anxious about the future and strives to improve himself daily. Jax emphasizes that mental health is a lifelong challenge, one that involves learning to control it rather than letting it control you.
However, Jax’s return has been met with additional challenges; he was served divorce papers by his ‘Valley’ co-star Brittany Cartwright while filming the reality show.
On set this week, it was clear that things were pretty uncomfortable for Jax, who did his best to avoid Brittany and maintain his distance.
Now, Jax is opening up about his struggles behind the scenes and expressing gratitude to those who have supported him and shared their personal experiences.
