This Maine Food Truck Named One of ‘The Best in the U.S.’

When the Food Network lauds you as the best, it’s a sure sign that you’re doing something right!

The Food Network, an immensely popular American cable television network, specializes in food-related programming. Known for its cooking shows, baking competitions, food travel series, and restaurant reviews, it has carved a niche in the culinary world since its inception in 1993.

The network has gained a dedicated following globally, thanks to famous shows like “Chopped,” “Beat Bobby Flay,” “Worst Cooks in America,” and “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

In their latest endeavor, the Food Network took on the formidable challenge of identifying the best food truck in each state. Given the recent surge in food truck popularity, this was no trivial task.

In Maine, numerous amazing food trucks vie for attention, but the Food Network has crowned one as the standout winner.

The Lobstah Buoy, located at 268 Odlin Road in Bangor, right across from The Ramada Inn, has been serving delectable dishes since 2017.

There’s an unparalleled charm to fresh Maine lobster, and The Lobstah Buoy makes sure to use only fresh, never frozen lobster. The menu is a seafood lover’s dream, boasting varying sizes of lobster rolls, including a 2oz baby buoy, a quarter-pound, and a half-pound option. The array doesn’t stop there; offerings include fried whole belly clams, clam strips, fish n’ chips, crab rolls, sea scallops, and shrimp. Each seafood selection comes with fresh-cut fries and coleslaw.

For those inclined towards non-seafood items, The Lobstah Buoy provides an equally tempting menu featuring cheeseburgers, hot pastrami, and red hot dogs. Dessert enthusiasts aren’t left out, with delicious options like whoopie pies and strawberry shortcake to end the meal on a sweet note.

The food truck operates on weekdays from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. While these hours might shift as the season progresses, one thing is certain: it’s always a good time to enjoy the mouth-watering offerings of The Lobstah Buoy.
