Three Days Grace’s Breakout Single Continues Reaching New Heights

Three Days Grace scored their first major hit single with the angsty “(I Hate) Everything About You” several decades ago. The tune introduced the Canadian rockers to an audience of millions, and since then, they’ve continued to rack up smashes in the hard rock field.

While the song might be more than 20 years old at this point, it remains incredibly popular. Impressively, the cut manages to climb to a new peak on one of Billboard’s charts this week, even after so many years.

“(I Hate) Everything About You” jumps to No. 12 on this week’s edition of the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. That’s a new high point for the tune on Billboard’s list of the most-streamed tracks in the hard rock genre.

The smash only lifts one space, but that’s still enough for it to rank higher than ever before. That’s quite the impressive showing for a tune that was released in 2003, and which has now spent 47 frames somewhere on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally.

While “(I Hate) Everything About You” is soaring, another one of Three Days Grace’s most popular tunes returns to the same tally. This week, “Animal I Have Become” is back on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs roster at No. 19.

“Animal I Have Become” almost manages a similar showing to “(I Hate) Everything About You,” but misses out on doing so by one space. The former single reappears at No. 19—just one rung away from its No. 18 peak.

Three Days Grace claims one of only three comebacks on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally this week. “Animal I Have Become” ranks as the highest among the trio, though not by much. Just a bit further down the ranking, System of a Down’s “Toxicity” blasts onto the list at No. 22, while Creed’s “Higher” re-launches at No. 23.
