TikToker can now afford gender transition thanks to viral ‘demure’ trend

TikToker Jools Lebron has given a “Very demure, very mindful, very cutesy” update on how her viral trend has significantly impacted her life, enabling her to pay for her gender transition.

The creator, who identifies as a transgender woman and goes by @joolieannie on the platform, gained popularity for her satirical videos on how people should behave at work or in public.

Jools has shared numerous clips, one titled “How to be demure and modest and respectful at the workplace,” which now boasts nearly 32 million views.

“I don’t come to work with a green-cut crease. I don’t look like a clown when I go to work. I don’t do too much. I’m very mindful while I’m at work,” she explains in one of her popular videos.

The terms “demure” and “mindful” have since taken over social media, with users incorporating them into descriptions of their everyday actions.

On Wednesday, Jools posted a heartfelt video discussing how this viral trend has improved her life and encouraged others to create their own videos.

“Maybe you should make the videos, because one day, I was playing cashier and making videos on my break, and now I’m flying across countries to host events, and I’m gonna be able to finance the rest of my transition,” she shared.

The video has amassed over 2.3 million views, and Jools received an outpouring of love and support in the comments, with many describing her as “demure.”

One viewer commented, “See how she encourages others towards success? Very mindful, very demure, very community-minded.”

Another person wrote, “Hope your transition goes smoothly and very demure.”

Someone else added, “You see how she never gave up? Very demure.”

A fourth commenter said, “Jokes on you cause I’m crying for you. And it’s NOT demure but is very mindful.”
