However, in an interview with NewsNation, Jeff clarified that he had no intention of campaigning against Tim and did not wish for his comments to influence public opinion about his brother. Interestingly, during the interview, he revealed that the anecdotes he alluded to primarily involved childhood experiences, specifically instances of car sickness during family road trips, which often left his siblings wanting to avoid sitting next to him. “Nobody wanted to sit with him, because he had car sickness and would always throw up on us,” Jeff recounted, indicating that those were the kind of “stories” he was referring to.

Beyond these childhood memories, Jeff mentioned that he had not had direct communication with Tim since 2016, except for a brief exchange facilitated by their mother just last month. He also expressed surprise upon discovering his brother’s nomination for vice president through a radio broadcast, sharing, “We felt bad that we found out about his being picked as the vice presidential candidate from radio.”

Jeff underscored a sense of disappointment at not being given a heads-up, revealing some concerns about the security implications of such a significant political move. He conveyed that it might have been prudent for the family to have received advance notice regarding Tim’s nomination.
