Tom Brady Celebrates Son Jack’s 17th Birthday and Shares a Quirk

Tom Brady always has special messages to share on his children’s birthdays. Today, the father of three is celebrating his eldest son Jack, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.

The retired athlete started his day by sharing a gallery of heartfelt images of Jack along with a touching message. “Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old I know,” Brady began. “You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man.”

Tom went on to highlight some of his favorite things about Jack. “Your love of family, friends, school, athletics, hard work, and dedication to everything you put your energy into are just some of your amazing qualities. I love spending every minute with you, and I cherish our time together,” the 47-year-old shared.

The retired quarterback humorously admitted that his son can now outplay him in one-on-one, likely referring to basketball. “Those are all my favorite things about you. My least favorite is that you can beat me in one-on-one now,” he quipped. Given Jack’s genes, it’s no surprise he’s becoming a formidable opponent—Tom stands at 6 foot 4, while Jack’s mom, Moynahan, is 5 foot 10.

Although Jack’s parents were not together when he was born, he has always been surrounded by love. His former stepmother, Gisele Bündchen, considered him a “bonus child.” In February 2020, before her divorce from Tom in 2022, she told a fan on Instagram, “I don’t like the word ‘stepmom.’ I like the word ‘bonus mom’ because I feel like it’s a blessing in my life. I feel so lucky that I got to have an extra wonderful little angel in my life.”

Tom is also the father of Benjamin and Vivian, his children with Bündchen. They recently spent quality time together in Montana. As Tom navigates retirement and co-parenting with the model, he has emphasized that his children are his top priority.

Last week, he appeared at the first-ever Fanatics Fest in New York City, where he shared with Stephen A. Smith that he’s been busy in retirement while keeping up with his responsibilities as a parent. “I got a lot of things that keep me busy but still trying to be a great dad and be there for my kids,” Brady said. “And all the parents out there know that it’s a challenge to be a good parent.”
