The Scandoval cheating saga has taken a new twist with Tom Sandoval filing a lawsuit against Ariana Madix. Sandoval alleges that Madix accessed and distributed videos of him and Rachel “Raquel” Leviss without permission.

Court documents reveal Sandoval’s claim that Madix unlawfully took his phone in March 2023, reviewing images, information, data, videos, and communications between the cheating parties.

Additionally, the cross-complaint filed on Tuesday states that Madix copied the explicit material and distributed it to Leviss and others. Madix has previously admitted on “Vanderpump Rules” to sending a FaceTime video she found to herself to prove the affair.

Sandoval’s filing also attributes at least part of the damages listed by Leviss in her initial complaint to Madix’s actions. Leviss had initially raised issues of eavesdropping, revenge porn, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Jordan Susman, Madix’s attorney, criticized Sandoval’s actions, stating, “It is abhorrent that Tom Sandoval continues to torment Ms. Madix. From engaging in an illicit affair that shattered her home and stability, to months of emotional warfare, and now this attempt to further shirk personal responsibility for the effects his actions have had on her and her emotional wellbeing.”

Commenting on the privileges shared between Sandoval and Madix, Susman added, “Tom Sandoval knows full well what sort of privileges he and Ms. Madix shared in regard to their personal communication devices. If he or his mistress had their way, it would be illegal for someone to discover their spouse or significant other was having an affair.”

Susman highlighted what he sees as Sandoval’s continued lack of accountability: “For Mr. Sandoval to go from begging Ms. Madix for forgiveness to blaming her for his wrongdoing speaks for itself. Even months after being branded ‘The most hated man in America,’ he believes it necessary to continue torturing Ms. Madix in a vain effort to rehabilitate his image.” Susman expressed confidence that a jury would dismiss Sandoval’s claims.

The Scandoval drama has been a significant plot point in “Vanderpump Rules,” playing out in the Season 10 reunion and continuing with the repercussions documented in Season 11. Sandoval and Madix had been together for nearly a decade before the scandal led to their breakup.

In response to the filing, Sandoval’s attorney commented, “While Tom Sandoval accepts responsibility for his affair, he strongly denies the allegations of the lawsuit filed by Rachel Leviss against him and Ms. Madix. … In order to ensure a fair and just determination of responsibility among all parties involved, we filed a cross complaint on behalf of Mr. Sandoval. This customary legal action was crucial to ensure that liability, if any, is fairly distributed based on the actual level of involvement and fault of each party. We aim to resolve this legal dispute with utmost respect towards all parties involved.”

Leviss had filed her own lawsuit against both Sandoval and Madix earlier, accusing them of eavesdropping, revenge porn, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to Leviss’ lawsuit, “Leviss was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man, who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent, which were then distributed, disseminated and discussed publicly by a scorned woman seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal.”
