Tony & Ziva’s Possible Crossover with The Original Series?

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to begin production in Europe. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are thrilled to bring this fresh spinoff to Paramount+. Nonetheless, some actors from the original series, known as the Mothership, might be interested in participating in this new espionage adventure. Who’s eager to join this exciting new chapter?

The buzz around the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff is palpable. Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly return as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo. Alongside their teenage daughter Tali, they’re on the run, trying to uncover who sabotaged Tony’s security company and who is pursuing them.

With their daughter’s safety in the balance, the stakes are incredibly high, adding layers of complexity and drama to their choices. Could they need assistance from the Mothership crew?

Brian Dietzen and Wilmer Valderrama are eager to join. Dietzen, who plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer, shared his excitement with Deadline. “I’m so happy for Michael and Cote and think John McNamara [Series Showrunner] will do a fantastic job for them.” He added that the storytelling approach sounds unique for NCIS since it won’t follow the case-of-the-week format. “If they ever need Jimmy Palmer on a plasma screen, I’d say hell yes. That’d be fun; I’d do that in a heartbeat.”

Wilmer Valderrama is equally enthusiastic about a guest star experience, potentially heading to Europe for a proper crossover.

Filming for NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to start soon in Europe. Although Paris seemed like an obvious choice, Michael Weatherly mentioned that the Paris Summer Olympics made it impractical. Instead, Budapest will represent parts of Europe, with plans for other exciting locations.

The new series will debut on Paramount+ at the end of 2024.
